Jamboroo Pub

Aussie Pub

Kiama is another beautiful town on the ocean. They are famous for having two blow holes.
The countryside is very hilly and green with lots of farm land.
Be back soon

Sydney &Blue Mountains

Spent a few days around Sydney visiting the harbour and surrounds.
It is always an impressive sight. We stayed with our friends in Parametta,
which is a suburb of Sydney. We then went back to Penrith were we left our
caravan with my cousin. Did a day trip to the Blue Mountains and then
to the Jenolan Caves were we did some underground exploring.

The caves are about 200k from Sydney .

Port Macquarie

We spent a few days in Port Macquarie which is about 400kms north of Sydney. It used to be a penal colony back in the early 1800's. Our caravan park is located near the ocean and within walking distance to the town centre. We visited an old court house built by the convicts. The laws were very harsh in those days and many were flogged for even minor offences. Bob was made an honorary judge and sentenced me to solitary confinement for misbehaving. After escaping I ran for safety to the oldest church in Australia were Bob's cousin is the minister. I was forgiven and have seen the light! (usually in the beer fridge).
This old church was built by the convicts and took 4 years to complete. The old pews were originally built by members of the church. The convicts sat in the back guarded by armed soldiers.

Woolgoolga & Corindi Beach

Some photos of where we have spent the last couple weeks. The flying foxes are native to Australia. They have a wing span of about 1 metre and only eat fruit. (lucky for us). During the day they rest in the cool bush and every night at dusk they begin their journey in search of fruit trees. They are a real menace to the fruit farmers.

These are photos of a local beach in Corindi. They aso have this amazing pub in town so we had to have a beer.  The beer is about the same price as in Canada and is always good and cold.
Tomorrow is January 19th and we are going to Port Macquarie for a few days. Will post some new photos later.
